Lula Flora
Whimsical and modern piñatas and party paper goods
Christine Lucas is the chief maker behind Lula Flora, a Montreal-based piñata design house and inventor of the wildly popular mini piñata. Christine’s intricately crafted pieces, including traditional style Mexican papel picado designs and whimsical piñata designs, have been featured by Martha Stewart, PopSugar, HuffPost, and has collaborated with global brands such as Corona, Nordstrom, Hallmark, and La Croix.
The focus for Lula Flora’s brand was on blending fresh, modern design elements with handcrafted cultural touches for a whimsical but powerful visual brand. We introduced a palette of juicy, saturated colors to reflect the materials with which Christine’s designs. The hand lettered logo gives an easy, handcrafted touch that pairs well with the intricate, detailed nature of the work created by Lula Flora. The custom illustrations are inspired by traditional Mexican folk art, a nod to the cultural origins of the products.
