Artisanal, Main Street style branding with rustic textures for an artists’ market and workshop with an uplifting, downhome message
Kim and Dave Jenkins’ artists’ co-op and retail space in Wayne, Michigan began as an after-hours jewelry hobby that they could do as a couple. After years of designing and creating their own vintage-inspired jewelry line to sell on Etsy, the Jenkins decided to invest in their hobby and turn it into a full time business that would bring tourism to their area of the state.
Given the handcrafted nature of Kim and Dave’s jewelry line and the work of their artisan partners, we knew that a hand-hewn, stamp-inspired logo design was the way to go. The charming striped awning detail is a subtle nod to the Main Street vibe of their retail space and small business in general. Kraft textures, a traditional color palette of black and white, and rustic, textural typography keep things simple, approachable, and homey.
